This Forest Gardening workshop is being run on the 11th November 2018. This is an approach to gardening that works with natural succession to provide year round food, natural medicines, firewood, animal fodder, bee fodder, diverse ecosystems and resilience in times of uncertainty - not to mention providing wonderful aesthetics and space to relax.
The workshop will run from 10am - 4pm and will cover the following topics and more -
- Soil building
- Species composition
- Working with plant succession
- Dealing with problem plants
- Plant layout and guilds
- Designing access
- Plant propagation
The workshop is $80 for adults and $40 for teenagers and includes the propagation of up to 20 species via seed, seedlings, cuttings and division.
