Robina is a co-founder, resident and trustee of Tui Community in New Zealand and trustee/founder of the Institute for Earthcare Education Aotearoa. For three decades, she has been engaged in broad scale community development, and for the last 20 years in Permaculture design and teaching, organic growing, the development of environmental education resources and creation of participatory processes for decision making and collective action.

Permacultuer Design Certificate Family Course

Post and Beam Construction

Learn how to frame an inexpensive, low-carbon shed using an innovative
hybrid post and beam design. The hybrid design uses raw logs and
dimensional lumber in a combination that keeps costs and carbon down,
but does not require specialized mortising equipment Although it is
possible to build the shed with only hand tools, a few common power
tools can be used to speed up the process and improve accuracy for
beginners. A number of different tools and techniques will be
demonstrated over the course of the weekend while building the frame

Hamilton Modular PDC

This is the third one day module for a permaculture design certificate which will be run over 12 weekends throughout 2010 plus the design presentation. Each session will give an overview of permaculture ethics & principles before starting the module. Participants can either choose to complete the certificate or choose certain modules of interest without receiving the certificate.
