In this half day workshop, Tanja and Florian will help participants to design and plan their dream garden. A series of practical, fun exercises (some of them outside) will bring forth visions and communicate the basics of sound garden design.

Farmageddon will immerse you in the story of a simple agrarian community in heartland china. The weekend is centred around a purpose-built board game that'll have you growing crops, competing for local resources and trading with neighbouring villages in order to nourish a growing family. But that's only half the story...

Dicussions throughout the weekend challenge agricultural concepts and explore strategies to adapt to the changing world.

Come and experience a unique 3 weeks residential course, tailored specifically to the needs of families.

In a creative hands-on program that will inspire both children and adults, participants will share moment of joy, revelation, connectedness and success. Through music, theatre and play, the permaculture bug will be spread to the young and the young at heart.

Learn how to frame an inexpensive, low-carbon shed using an innovative
hybrid post and beam design. The hybrid design uses raw logs and
dimensional lumber in a combination that keeps costs and carbon down,
but does not require specialized mortising equipment Although it is
possible to build the shed with only hand tools, a few common power
tools can be used to speed up the process and improve accuracy for
beginners. A number of different tools and techniques will be
demonstrated over the course of the weekend while building the frame
for a 10 sq.m shed

This is the third one day module for a permaculture design certificate which will be run over 12 weekends throughout 2010 plus the design presentation. Each session will give an overview of permaculture ethics & principles before starting the module. Participants can either choose to complete the certificate or choose certain modules of interest without receiving the certificate.
