Permaculture in New Zealand

Hi Everyone
I am slightly concerned about the baby bird photo with the comment underneath NZ has to FEW predators. New Zealand had no real mammal predators prior to humans arriving. We now have to MANY predators eating our defenceless native and endemic animals. We have approx 2000 species listed at risk, one of the reasons is predation. Please don't add to the problem. We don't need more predators!! We may need to deal with some over population problems of introduced species affecting our crops but predators are not a viable option in most cases.
