Learn how to frame an inexpensive, low-carbon shed using an
innovative hybrid post and beam design. The hybrid design uses raw logs and
dimensional lumber in a combination that keeps costs and carbon down, but does
not require specialized tools Although it is possible to build
the shed with only hand tools, a
few common power tools can be used to speed up the process and improve accuracy. A number of different tools and techniques will be demonstrated
over the course of the weekend while building the frame for a 3 meter by 3
meter shed.

buildings, as well as their design and construction. Nelson seeks a balance
between traditional techniques and contemporary design innovations. Keep it simple. Keep it green.
