Once you have dared to read this book, everything you have thought, but not felt able to discuss, for fear of being labeled a Doomsday Merchant, will slot into place.

Colin Mason tells is as it is, with an enormous amount of fact and information to back up his claims. We are going to run out of easily accessible oil and very soon; world population is growing at an unprecedented rate; world climate is on the change; the rich and poor of the world are becoming more and more polarised; multinational corporations have huge amounts of control in our world and fresh food and clean water are becoming scarcer.

At first the book began to depressed me, but on reading to the end, I found that the author offered some sensible and practical solutions.

Colin Mason is realistic about the human personality: there will probably never be utopian world where each and every one of us oozes with altruism. However, we do need to aim in this direction to counter the negative effects these enforced, imminent and dramatic changes will have upon each and every one of us.

Read the book and become an informed individual, able to help guide others gently through the coming tumultuous period!
