A newbie worm farm question

First, hello everyone. I am new here, and I apologise if the question that follows isn't in the right place.

My worm farm is chokka with beautiful pink tiger worms. I've been feeding it more recently, and adding lime to keep down the fruit flies, and have seen a sudden explosion in much smaller, brown, striped worms (about 1 cm long).

I'd love it if they were baby tiger worms, but am worried that they're maggots of some kind (though they look and move much more like worms than maggots) or some other hostile-to-tiger-worms species.

The internet & my insect books haven't enlightened me yet: are baby tiger worms necessarily pink, meaning that my brown small stripey worms aren't?

Thank you.
