 PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATE COURSE 

With a focus on Intentional Community and Deep Ecology.

Come and experience a transformational course in a transformational place. Learn about permaculture design and how to apply it to you life and land .

This 3 week course allows extra time for exploring the design principles and practices of permaculture through a range of creative facilitation practices, hands on experiences, guest tutors and field trips.

 The  course covers the standard 2 week International Permaculture Design Certificate cirruculum. There will be a range of subjects covered within the context of permaculture, including community infrastructure, earthbuilding techniques, biological systems,  community food production, food forests,  microclimates, integrated animal /orchard design, mixed species forestry, water systems and management, wormfarming, appropriate technology,  design strategies, local economic systems and deep ecology. The students work will culminate in several land use design projects.

There will be a special emphasis on the themes of intentional community, community building, ecovillage development, design for sustainable social systems and deep ecology that will will throughout the course.

 Tui Community is a sucessful Intentional Community in its 25th year of co-creation, it is located  on 150 acres next to the Able Tasman National Park in Golden Bay.

The course is residential, with meals included. Accomodation is in the Tui Treefield, our beautiful events park, camping and marae style. It may be possible to assist in arranging in other accomodation.
