Greetings
A possible use of the blogs on this website is as an online journal to record your permaculture diploma pathway
You can post and record your development and application of permaculture ethics and principles, courses/transition town events attended, projects, reports, what your planting, how etc..., receiving feedback and support and have a tangible record which can be presented at/as part of, your diploma presentation
Be aware that anything you post is public - see Website PiNZ members areas vs full public access http://www.permaculture.org.nz/forum/42 and post your comment or thoughts on this topic
Journals are a very powerful tool anybody can utilise but they are especially useful to PDC graduates. Both for presentation data, historical reference and training
When I'm working with friends or clients I always encourage them to create a design or house/garden journal, recording progress, observations, sector inputs, weather patterns rainfall, first frosts etc..., ideas, dates of planting, etc... The journals ultimately provide research data for feedback design/implementation and maintenance
Professionals growers and research permaculturalists record observations, growth rates, applications rates, temperatures, H2O application rates, yields etc... The records providing research data for feedback design and improvement
The skills and habits developed by keeping a journal become very useful
