PiNZ Pasifik Sponsorship panel members wanted

PiNZ is starting a new programme to support one or more Pasifik permaculturalists (including from Aotearoa) to attend the International Permaculture Convergence. We are looking for people to become members of the panel to administer the sponsorship.

The volunteer role consists of working with other panel members and Council to:

Robyn Francis and Melian Fertl, representing PCA and Djanbung Gardens, joined over 420 delegates from 47 countries converging in Cuba for the 11th International Permaculture Convention, November-December 2013. Robyn reports on the experience.

To write a shining report on how the convergence was organised would involve half truths and the same for its execution would necessitate downright lies. With the trained eye and over analysing mind of an event organiser, I found the facilitation to of the event to be agonisingly poor. The communication leading up to the event was sub par to the point where I carried a tent for three months through Central America after reading that we'd be camping.
